Leading Next-Generation Airline Reservations System Innovator Purchases 10-acre Complex Adjacent To Orlando International Airport
ORLANDO, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aug. 15, 2005– Radixx International, Inc., a leading provider of new-generation reservations hosting services to more than 30 airlines on six continents, announced plans to open a new center of corporate operations to underscore its commitment to the continued growth in its worldwide air carrier customer base.
As the result of the company’s continued rapid growth, Radixx International has acquired the facility formerly owned by US Airways as a reservations and hosting center. Located adjacent to Orlando International Airport, the 15,247 square foot facility, which sits on a 10-acre complex on Lake Michele, will become Radixx International’s new World Headquarters and will house the company’s new state-of-the-art Airline Reservations Data Center.
The move will be completed by autumn of this year and is related to public announcements of a number of new airlines to Radixx International’s growing customer base that will be made in the near future.
“As Radixx International has continued its remarkable pace of growth through relationships with additional independent and new-model airlines worldwide, we quickly discerned a need for an operational complex that would serve as an advanced-technology data center, capable of serving our growing global airline customer base with the 99.99 percent-plus reliability they have already come to expect from us,” said Ron Peri, President and CEO of Radixx International. “This new World Headquarters fits those needs perfectly. It is also a testament to the commitment and professionalism of the people of Radixx International and to the critical role that we now play in the financial success of a growing percentage of the world’s airline industry.”
The new facility, located at 6310 Hazeltine National Drive, in addition to providing substantial room for the company’s growth in employment of highly-skilled computing and development personnel, will feature a new futuristic, high-technology Network Operations Center, which will operate 24/7 to ensure that reservations systems for Radixx International airline customers are maintained through all international time zones.
“While our national economy is experiencing a record level of overseas ‘out-sourcing’ of jobs throughout many sectors of the technology industry, we are very proud of our role in ‘bucking the trend’ by not only bringing new technology business from other countries to the United States, but also utilizing that growth to provide additional employment opportunities for highly-skilled technology specialists right here at home,” Peri said. “As our company grows, both in product and customers, we are literally changing the way the airline industry operates and assisting much of the industry in effecting a paradigm shift in the way our customers sell their most important product - airline seats.”
Radixx International’s suite of unique Internet-based reservations technologies also have been critical in assisting many airlines with their financial turnaround efforts, helping to sustain thousands of airline jobs both in the U.S. and around the world.
